User Management
The User Management is only available to Users of the System Administrator or Administrator Group. You can add/modify users in two places, one time in the Razuna Administration and one time in the DAM section with the Administration link. Both will show you the same users and groups.
The difference is that within the DAM Administration you will also have access to other DAM related settings, like Logs, Scheduled Tasks, Custom Fields and more.
Note: When you add or want to modify users within the Razuna Administration you will only see the users of the host you are currently logged in! Thought, you can add users to other hosts, but you won’t see them unless you login under the specific host. This does not apply to the DAM administration since you are already logged in under a specific host!
Exporting & importing of users
As of August, 12th 2012 (hosted edition) and Razuna 1.5 (self-hosted edition) you have the option to export and import users with the file format CSV, XLSx and XLS.
Export
In order to export your users, go the the "Administration" within your DAM and on the user tab click on the "export" link. You then have the option to export your users to a CSV, XLSx or XLS file.
Import
Within the user section of the Administration you also have the option to import users from a CSV, XLSx and XLS file. Like this you can quickly add many users in one action (batch adding of users). In order to add new users you have to create a new row for each new users in your file. Below is a description of the columns:
Column Name |
Value |
---|---|
login_name | The login name of the user (usually this is the eMail address) |
first_name | The first name of the user |
last_name | The last name of the user |
eMail address of the user | |
active | T = the user is active F = the user is inactive (not able to sign in) |
groupid | The group of the user. You can assign the user to many groups with separating each groupid with a "," (comma) |
password | Password for the user |
Note on passwords
If you add a new user you will need to provide the password in the password column.
If you want to update the password for existing users you simply enter the new password
All passwords will be one-way encrypted!
Existing users
The import will skip records with the same email address. It will however update the password if the password column is not empty for existing records with the same email address!
