Let’s have an example with a tool called “FG-50H” :
Searching with “FG-50H” returns no assets, due to the -" apparently
Searching with “50”, some files are returned but not the one with “50H” in the filename !
Turns out you need to search for “50H” tu get the correct assets…
Wow, that’s not user-friendly at all !
Also, when you finally get what you’re looking for, there a link called “Folder” below each asset, but it leads to the administration, that customers cannot access… Also very disapointing.
Can you please do something quickly about all of this ? Otherwise, we’ll need to search for another DAM solution that actually allows our customers to find easyy the assets they are looking for…
I understand your frustration, but as Harkirat pointed out you can simply use the “*” (wildcard character) to find files. This has always been the standard search in Razuna. However, we know it is not the best way and we are already working on a different solution.
On the point of the folders, it will ask you to sign in if the folder is outside of the shared folder or are you saying that the folder is also inside the share?
OK, the “*” solution is working fine, but how are customers supposed to know that ? They ain’t developers.
Anyway, we are quite impatient to see the next version of Razuna to hopefully fix all of this !
For the folder link, it always sends me to the login page when I click on it.
The “wildcard” character is not a developer thing. It is a common practice for search terms. Even Google uses 'search operators" -> https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/136861?p=adv_operators&hl=en.
But as I’ve said, I understand. We will look into it.
We are also looking into the folder link and will get back to you.
I’m still having an issue with the search, even when using the “*” wildcard…
It doesn’t seem to be working for our products which have a name starting with “FW-330”.
