As I started to upload first part of my collection (about 16T of video files) I found razuna to do something for a while after file stops uploading, but before it is marked with green “OK”. At that time java consumes lot of CPU power and razuna responses are extremely slow. One can check this uploading large files (dozens of Gib each). I expect some hash calculation. If it’s right, I suggest using external tool to do this faster than java does.
It all boils down to server tuning. You should tune, Tomcat, MySQL (if you do not use an external DB than switch to one), use a front end server, etc.
Tomcat and server tuning is an art in itself and that’s why our customers get a support plan with us ( http://razuna.org/support/subscriptions ), so they can concentrate on working and not worrying about this stuff.

I’d like to use PSQL, as I have PSQL server running, but don’t know if it’s compatible with Razuna. OpenBD can use PSQL, though Razuna should be compatible with it as OpenBD application. I’ll appreciate your comments/ideas.
Though, CFML supports PSQL, we don’t support it. The only databases that are supported in Razuna 1.7 are H2, MySQL and MS SQL.

Thank you, but could you give more detailed comment why razuna don’t support psql. Are there any serious problems to do this? Maybe I’ll do some work to add psql support.
In the past we even supported Oracle and DB2. We phased these out as well. It is simply too much work, to keep 5 database scripts in sync. Same with psql, no one ever wanted it.
In any case, sure you are free to do so, however we will come out with Razuna 2.0 (Q1/Q2 2015) which is completely based on a new technology stack and will only support MongoDB. Honestly, your work is appreciated, but I think it would be in vain.

…based on a new technology stack and will only support MongoDB…
is openbd (or other cfml based server) part of new stack?
Hi,
We have completely re-written Razuna in Node.js. We are still in
development and Razuna 2.0 is expected to be released by the end 2015.
