Razuna Upgrade from 1.8.1 to 1.8.2 - Not Prompting to Upgrade

Not getting response from my questions to support@razuna.com so will try here.

I am following the below recommended steps from Razuna but after starting Tomcat and hitting the back end, I am NOT getting prompted to “Upgrade” but instead am only prompted to log into Razuna. How do I ensure the upgrade from 1.8.1 to 1.8.2 was successful?

Steps recommended from Razuna

If you want to upgrade your 1.8.1 with the new 1.8.2 you
simple need to do the following:

  1. Shut down Razuna 1.8.1

  2. Copy/move the “ADMIN” and the “GLOBAL” folder from 1.8.2
    to 1.8.1

  3. Copy the COMPLETE Razuna-searchserver folder from 1.8.2
into the 1.8.1 one (if you DO NOT want to re-index and re-configure the search
server connection you should copy the bluedragon.xml file and the “collections”
folder (not in WEB-INF) before. Then restore them after you replace it.)

  4. Start Tomcat

  5. Hit the backend and you will be prompted to upgrade

If you have overwritten the complete Razuna-Searchfolder (as
outlined in step 3 above) then:

A) Reconfigure the connection to the search server
B) Do a complete re-index of all your hosts

Hi Jeff ,

If it doesn’t prompt you with an upgrade page, it simply means
there is nothing to update in the database  No worries, you are all
set then.
Cheers,

That is what I was hoping.

One last question. Is it a good practice after this upgrade to go to the back-end server, navigate to List/add Tenants and do “Upgrade Settings” and then “Reset Cache”? What are the situations of when to do this for Tenants.

Thanks!

Jeff,

I responded to your email to support already.

Yes, you should always do the upgrade/flush cache thingy after every
upgrade.

Thanks Nitai! I have not received any email replies from support that is why I decided to post here. I wonder if the replies back from razuna support are going to my spam filter or getting blocked?

I checked our setup, but don’t see our domain being blocked anywhere. Must
have been some hiccup as I hear this the first time
