Downloads failing

We’ve been running Razuna for severalyears without issue, recently JPG assets over 1.5mb are failing to download. Downloads start and stall around 85% to 95% for some time before the browser reports a network issue. PDF files up to around 80mb seem to be fine.

Have deleted the Catalina folder and cleared Java cache with no change - any ideas?

Running Razuna 1.7 on Windows 2008R2, JRE 1.7

Thanks in advance…

Restart the Tomcat service, adjust the memory, front Tomcat with a
webserver. etc. You can find some help here

Hope this helps

Hi Nitai,

Thank you for your prompt response. Unfortunately, it appears memory is fine - following further testing it appears only to be impacting JPG files. A 80MB pdf downloads fine and zipping the JPG also downloads instantly.

We are reverse proxying with IIS but this is occurring on the Razuna host directly via HTTP.

This host has been running with the same library for 6+ months without issue. No changes to the OS has been made, including patches. This is a Windows 2008R2 server.

any further ideas before I rebuild and restore the DB?

If the machine has been running fine for many months, it’s not “all of the
sudden” a Razuna issue. Rebuilding and restoring the DB won’t help.

I would look into upgrading Java, Tomcat and other parts.

Hi Natai,

I’m not sure I agree. Downloading an existing asset reaches around 95% and then stalls and takes a long time to complete directly on the server (this is timing out via our proxy). If I add the same image as a new asset in a new folder the file downloads as expected.

Memory is fine, I have upgrade Java and Tomcat as suggested with no change. I have run all maintenance options on the database and images without success.

I’m currently re-uploading all assets again as it appears this is the only way to resolve this.

Am I missing something?

As mentioned before. Razuna doesn’t contain some evil code that all of the sudden changes as longer you run it. If it worked before, something outside has changed. Maybe your filesystem got corrupted, thus the system is not able to deliver the medias properly anymore?

In any case, without a support agreement we can’t look at your sever.
