Using Razuna 1.6.5 on a self-hosted server as a DAM system for the entire company to use. Some of the assets require tracking by admins and other key personnel, so folder subscriptions are important to them so that they are alerted whenever a new image or doc is uploaded or moved into their area of responsibility. Problem is, they can subscribe to all the folders they like, but those subscription seem to disappear after a few days, as if they never subscribed in the first place. The subscriptions works in the beginning – users receive their e-mails at the interval they chose – but they never seem to stick around. I’ve checked this out in the database, I can see their entries with the appropriate user_id and folder_id, but those rows always disappear, and the users swear that they haven’t touched the subscriptions menu and changed anything.
What can I do to track what’s going on and correct the issue? My company has started to rely pretty heavily on your product.
Thanks,
Will
Hi Will,
The only time users would be auto unsubscribed from receiving notifications is if the user no longer has access permissions to the subscribed folder. The process that does that runs everyday between 1 am - 2 am. Are you certain the users still have access to the folder in question?
Please include the URL to your DAM and I can take a look at it.

Hi, Harkirat. Thanks for the quick response.
The auto-unsubscribe rule makes sense, and I can understand why that would happen. One of my users is an administrator for the tenant, and she is losing her subscriptions on what appears to be a daily basis (again, agreeing with the conditions of the process that runs every morning). So, I can only surmise that even though she is an administrator, she doesn’t have the correct permissions for every folder on the tenant. This is bad because she has the most important job as admin, and needs to track activity in at least three folders or sub-folders (and the email notifications were crucial to her job). I can look her account up from the tenant admin menu, and see the following: under the Groups tab, Administrator is checked, but none of the groups. If I check them all, save it, log out, and then go back in, none of the groups are checked any longer (only Administrator). From the server administrator, of course I am unable to check any groups since she is already checked as an Admin. So, question remains, how do I know she has the necessary folder permissions and not being deleted automatically every morning?
Now, I am to assume that a tenant Administrator has permission for every folder, and subscribing to those folders (and sub-folders) should work. But remember, she has been an admin ever since we set up the tenant and her notifications have still been inconsistent since we upgraded to 1.6.5.
Also, I would love to give you access to the DAM, but it is internal and we have very strict policies regarding external access. If there’s anything I can check/perform in your place, please send me an e-mail.
Thanks.
Hi Will,
Any user assigned to the administrator group is unsubscribed from the other groups as that group has access to all the groups and group subscription becomes redundant. However I see that this causes an issue with the folder subscribe feature for admins which is what is happening in your case.
We will rectify this issue in our upcoming release 1.7 which is due for release any day now so please bear with us for a while.
