Upload imports exif metadata into description

Hi,

I uploaded the attached picture to razuna (with other pictures of the same product) and after upload it puts this one into the description field, which is annoying, because it must be deleted manually afterwards on EACH image :frowning:

How can I stop this behaviour?

Metadata is automatically parsed. Remedy is to not include metadata in your
images. Use a tool on your desktop to strip out the metadata in batches.

This is strange! Metadata are stored separately in the database, why are them copied additionally (and only partially!) into the description? Makes no sense for me.

Feature Request for v2.x:
NOT including metadata in description field (or a possibility to prevent that).

Nothing strange here. Metadata (XMP) are read from the image. If you edit
them within Razuna we will write them back to the image file itself.

This will not change in v2.

Dear Nitai,

I guess you don’t understand what I mean! Of course, exif data should be stored in the images. This is what I expect, but when uploading an image, the description field, which has NOTHING to do with exif data will be filled automatically. This should be at least optionally.

See this as example:

I fully understand what you mean. Examine the metadata of your image
please. I’m guessing you will find that in there (somewhere) it declares
description metadata. Hence, we read it in.
