The translation mechanism is not used anywhere

Hi!

I have found some strings in code where the translation mechanism has not yet been used. So only the english text will shown. A translation of the texts is therefore not possible/pointless, because some parts of the code must be changed.

Here are examples (code from the git master):

/global/host/dam/views/ajaxparts/dsp_icon_bar.cfm

  • “Add folder to favorites”
  • “Show assets from Sub-Folders”
  • “Print”
  • “RSS-Feed of this folder”
  • “Create a Word-Document”
  • “Download assets in this folder”
  • “Thumbnail View”
  • “List View”
  • “Quick Edit View”
  • “Sort by:”
  • “Name”
  • “Type of Asset”
  • “Size (Descending)”
  • “Size (Ascending)”
  • “Date Added”
  • “Last Changed”
  • “Same file”
  • "All files in this … "
  • “Deselect all”

./global/host/dam/views/layouts/lay_header.cfm

  • “My info”
  • “Help / Support”
  • “Add your files”
  • “Search”
  • “Documentation (Wiki)”

./global/host/dam/views/ajaxparts/dsp_asset_<audios|images|videos|…>convert.cfm
./global/host/dam/views/ajaxparts/dsp_exist_rendition
<audios|images|videos|…>.cfm

  • “Create new renditions”
  • “Existing Renditions - Refresh”
  • “Resolution Unit:”
  • “X Resolution”
  • “Y Resolution”
  • “ColorSpace: could not be read properly for this file”
  • “No size limit”

What are the options to solve this, so it comes into the next version?

Yes, thank you. We are aware that some parts in Razuna are hardcoded (a historical issue).

Hi Nitai,

we want to extract all those texts from the code in order to translate them.
Can you recomend us a way to do it ? Or the only solution is to read the code to find the hardcoded strings ?

Thanks

LLuis

Hi,

Can you please be more precise what you are looking for? Translations for
Razuna are dynamic and if you are interested in translation you can go to
translate.razuna.org.

Hi,

We have translated razuna interface to Catalan, but we have found a lot of texts embedded in the code (hardcoded).
That’s a problem, because our translator can’t easily access them.

We think the solution is to extract those strings from the code and put them into the resources files, but we don’t know how to do it efficiently.

Any advice ?

Thanks

98% of all text is in the translation file. Is there any particular text
that you are looking at?
