We’re running a self-hosted version of Razuna 1.6. We would like to have three user groups – one for admins, one that allows users to download original assets and one that allows users to download the thumbnail only. At the moment for each folder we have gone into ‘Folder sharing & settings’ / ‘sharing options’ and set ‘Allow download of original asset’ to ‘No’. This means that all non-admin users can view the assets and download thumbnails but not the original asset. How can we set up a new user group with original asset download privileges without granting those same privileges to all other non-admin users?

When you set ‘Allow download of original asset’ to ‘No’ it only affects users with ‘Read-Only’ privileges. Users with Read/Write and Full Access privileges or administrator users can always download the original assets. So for the three users groups the settings would be as follows:
Admins: Make user an administrator
Users that can download original assets: Give user either Read/Write and Full Access privilege
Users that can download thumbs only: Give user Read-Only privilege
